Big Book Parties are a Brooklyn Book Bodega program designed to increase book access and foster community. They are an opportunity for families, caregivers, and kids to engage in a shared, interactive, educational experience with peers and neighbors. Attendees can browse and choose their own books and interact with a community-based artist, performer, or creator who elevates our dynamic programming. The impact is multi-faceted, aligning with our core pillars: 1) self-selection of books to develop each family’s home library (choice, access, reuse, and ownership); 2) opportunity for community interaction in a relaxed, learning-friendly environment (community); 3) engaging, interactive activity for instilling joy in reading (discovery).
What: Free book giveaway and a Puppet Stories from Around the World performance with Little Did
Where: Brooklyn Book Bodega Book Hub - 141 Flushing Ave, Suite 606, Brooklyn, NY 11205
When: Saturday, September 19 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
