Borealis Chamber Artists & Twin Ports Choral Project
Sarah Lawrence, soprano
Georgia Jacobson-Wolfe, mezzo soprano
Benjamin Boskoff, tenor
Ryan Wolfe, bass
Patrick Russell, conductor
For centuries, audiences across the country experienced Handel's Messiah in pieces — a highlight here, a favorite chorus there. Duluth was no exception, with the tradition of presenting excerpts from this beloved work. But Borealis Chamber Artists believed the complete Messiah deserved to be heard in full, and for several years now, that's exactly what we've delivered.
This season brings something even more special: the second year of a collaboration that feels like it was always meant to be. Borealis Chamber Artists and Twin Ports Choral Project — two ensembles with a shared spirit, now officially one organization — are joining forces again to present the complete Messiah together. What began as two groups coming alongside each other has become something unified, and this performance is our first as a single organization under one roof.
That's a lot of history wrapped into one afternoon of music.
We've assembled a handpicked group of professional soloists, a dynamic chamber orchestra, and the combined vocal forces of both ensembles to bring Handel's masterwork to life from first note to last; every aria, every recitative, every triumphant chorus, including, of course, the Hallelujah.
Whether you've heard Messiah a hundred times or you're experiencing it complete for the first time, this is a performance worth showing up for. Come be part of the moment.
Secure tickets now and bring someone who's never heard it whole.
