About This Event
I feel honored to be a member of the Boston MedFlight marathon team. Boston MedFlight is a charity dedicated to providing critical care transport to those in need, regardless of their ability to pay. This charity is especially close to my heart because I believe strongly that aviation is a very powerful tool that can be leveraged to help those in need efficiently and effectively.
For 39 years, Boston MedFlight has been the region’s primary provider of critical care medical transport by air and ground, caring for more than 6,100 patients annually, including the most critically ill and injured infants, children, and adults. As a nonprofit organization, they provide over $7 million annually in free and unreimbursed care to patients in need with little or no medical insurance.
The money I raise during this fundraiser will go towards lifesaving equipment, crew training, community education with local EMS departments, and unreimbursed care for patients who are underinsured or have no insurance.
