Upcycled Denim DIY with Olivia McCann

Registration ends Tuesday, 04/21/2026 5:30pm MST

About This Event

This hands-on workshop introduces participants to block printing on clothing through designing, carving, and printing custom linoleum blocks directly onto garments using fabric-safe ink. Focusing on DIY creativity and wearable art, the class centers on transforming clothes with original printed designs while learning the fundamentals of carving and textile printing. After printing, participants will have the option to further personalize their pieces using fabric markers and hand-sewn patches. The result is a one-of-a-kind, artist-designed piece to wear and keep.

Materials to bring: Bring your own materials (fabric markers and patches of fabric, needles, thread and scissors).

Cost: $150 / $130 members

Date: Two Tuesdays, April 21 & 28, 2026

Time: 5 - 8pm

Location: Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art

Instructor Bio: Olivia McCann is an artist and upcycle designer based in Denver, CO. Passionate about giving new life to discarded materials, she specializes in upcycling, collage, and abstract painting—creating vibrant, one-of-a-kind pieces from secondhand finds.
