About This Event
Buddhism Basics
Senior BDC practitioners, Katie Travis-Arnold and Nick Woodward, explore central teachings of our 2600 year old Buddhist tradition. The class will discuss the different lineages of Buddhism, the life of the Buddha, the Four Noble Truths, the Eightfold Path and the precepts. Great for those new to meditation and Buddhist practice; seasoned practitioners are warmly encouraged as well.
Note: This program will start promptly at 9 AM.
This event will be held online and in person at the Bozeman Dharma Center.
If you are attending in person, please come to the BDC located at 3810 Valley Commons, upstairs in Suite 6. For the safety of the community, please stay home if you have any respiratory symptoms. Mask use is welcome and optional. Masks are available at the BDC. Please use your best judgment for what works for you. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to take off coats and shoes and get settled in the space.
Please wear comfortable clothing. You are welcome to bring a closable water bottle into the meditation hall.
If you are attending remotely, please use this Zoom link (or go to the Bozeman Dharma Center website and click on the Zoom link there). We will try to provide as smooth of an experience as possible and thank you for your patience with any issues that may arise. Please try to join the Zoom room about five minutes early.
Dana to the teachers is covered in your registration. The BDC offers to split all registration fees evenly with the facilitator.
