Paddle the Greenway 2023

About This Event

- What -

Join us for an exciting opportunity to discover the joys of paddling a kayak or canoe with the Wolf River Conservancy! Led by ACA Certified instructor Ande Demetriou, owner of Blues City Kayaks, you'll receive hands-on guidance on the basics of safely controlling your vessel on our picturesque 25-acre lake, situated along mile nine of the Wolf River Greenway trail.

Our 60-foot floating dock makes it a breeze for anyone to get started, regardless of skill level. Best of all, this is a completely free event with all necessary equipment provided. Don't miss this chance to experience the beauty of the Wolf River Greenway from the water! As safety is our top priority, we do require all participants to wear a provided PFD (Personal Floatation Device or Life Jacket) throughout the duration of the event.

-Where-

The Wolf River Greenway at Epping Way is located at 2630 Epping Way Drive. Vehicles can be parked in the cul-de-sac at this address. Walk through the gate, and down the trail, turning left at the "T" intersection at the lake. Follow the trail to our boat dock where volunteers will be stationed with boats.

-How-

Two persons per canoe/kayak with a maximum of fourteen boats launched each hour.  There are three 1-hour timeslots available each day of our Paddle the Greenway event. In consideration of others, please select no more than two timeslots.  All ages are welcome, and everyone must wear a PFD (Personal Floatation Device, or Life Jacket) which will be provided onsite. We recommend bringing sunscreen and bottled water. Portable restrooms will be on site.
