Breaking the Silence NM is excited to announce our 2nd Annual Serve It Up for Life CRC Memorial Tennis Event, which will be held on September 6th, 2025, 8:00 AM-6:00 PM at the Jerry Cline Tennis Complex in Albuquerque NM.
Our 1st event in 2024 raised $16,000 for BTSNM and enabled us to continue our core program for ending the stigma, shame, silence and secrecy surrounding mental illness and suicide.
Suicide is the third leading cause of death among 15-29 year olds. In 2022, the most recent data available, NM had the 4th highest suicide rate (24.7 per 100,000 residents) in the United States.
As a donor, you will help empower the lives of teens, youth, and adults who are facing mental health challenges or are thinking of suicide. Your sponsorship directly supports our research-based programs that promote mental health in schools and our NM communities.
For each $5,000 raised we are able to provide 40 sessions of two “Talking Mental Health” lessons to 20 classrooms—a minimum of 400 students! $2500 sponsors 3 half-days of professional development for 25-50 staff each. Our goal is to host presentations in all 33 counties of NM and with your help we can accomplish this task.
