CHOW Hunger Walk 2025

About This Event

It's time for CHOW's biggest fundraiser of the year! We're back at the Oakdale Commons again for our 43rd Annual CHOW Hunger Walk on Saturday, September 20th from 12-3pm.

The CHOW Walk has three important goals:
1. To increase awareness about hunger in Broome County.
2. To raise funds to provide food to our neighbors in need.
3. To uplift our community and have fun!

Hunger is more widespread in Broome County than many people realize, and in 2025 the need continues to grow. Thanks to donors like you CHOW is able to meet the needs of our community in many ways:

1. CHOW distributed over 3.8 million pounds of food in 2024, that's over 3.2 million meals served in Broome County!

2. CHOW's Broome Bounty program recovered & redistributed 3.25 million pounds of good food from local groceries stores and restaurants last year. That's 163 garbage trucks of food that went to local families, instead of the landfill!

CHOW does all of this without charging any of the 120+ pantries, meals sites, or residential homes in our network a penny. But we absolutely could not do this without your help.

Funds raised during The CHOW Walk make our work possible throughout the year.
