Climb aboard the 2025 Bus Tour for a journey into some of Georgia's leading adaptive early childhood environments! This one-of-a-kind adventure will highlight the importance of creating spaces and strategies that support young children with disabilities and their families across various settings.

Tour participants will explore exemplary programs, hear from voices in the field, and build meaningful cross-sector connections to strengthen adaptive systems statewide. Discover best practices, innovative approaches, and be inspired by those leading the way for Georgia's youngest children. What: 
This year’s tour will spotlight the importance of adaptive spaces and strategies to support young children with disabilities and their families across a variety of settings. Participants will visit exemplary environments, hear from impactful voices in the field, and build cross-sector connections to strengthen early childhood systems across Georgia. 

When: 
September 17th @ 7:15 AM through September 18th at 5:00 PM

Where: 
Augusta • Athens • Watkinsville • Norcross 

Why: 
Young children with disabilities are brimming with potential. With the right supports—therapy, adaptive classrooms, and strong relationships with their families, peers, teachers, and early intervention professionals—they can thrive. 

How: 
We’ll depart from Atlanta early on September 17 and travel by bus, staying overnight in Augusta. On September 18, we’ll continue to Athens, Watkinsville, and Norcross before returning to the GEEARS office that evening.

What is parking like?

GEEARS will validate your parking, which is a covered parking deck here at the Lenox Towers.

Are meals included?

Yes! Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided on the first day, and the second day will include breakfast and lunch. We'll also have water and snacks on the bus - it's a road trip after all.

What should I pack?

Clothes for a day and shoes to walk in."
