To celebrate Juneteenth, the day in 1865 when the final slaves were liberated, WanderNebraska Adventure Tours is planning a one-day tour of sites in Omaha related to Black History. The tour departs from Lincoln and will make a stop in Omaha to add participants.  We begin with a tour of the Great Plains Black History Museum and follow with a tour of Malcolm X sites. Lunch will be at Big Mama’s Kitchen (as seen on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives)! The afternoon starts with a visit to Salem Baptist Church and ends with a guided bus tour of “Green Book” sites led by Ryan Chattell of the Durham Museum. The tour ends back in Lincoln at 5 p.m. The chartered bus tour price includes transportation, gratuities, lunch, and all admissions/donations.
