About This Event

Borderline Personality Disorder Loss Family Bereavement Support Group

Next Meeting: Thursday, March 20th at 7:00 p.m EST on ZOOM

Emotions Matter offers a bereavement support group for family members who have experienced the loss of a loved one from BPD.  This is a group for family members, and not for people with BPD.

Did you know that BPD Loss is a complicated grief?  The death of a loved one with BPD is often unexpected and always traumatic.  The cause of death varies, but suicide and drug-related deaths are the most common.  Due the impulsivity of BPD, a variey of factors can contribute to BPD loss.

This tragic end of life often punctuates years, even decades, of intense trauma for all involved.  Loved ones are left behind to deal with deep grief, despair, and guilt.

We come together to...

  • Support without judgement
  • Share our experience
  • Offer and receive compassion
  • Learning from each other what has helped us cope along the way

Emotions Matter runs a monthly ZOOM BPD Loss Family Bereavement Support Group.

Discussion afterwards will focus on support, resources, and coping strategies with an emphasis on sharing lived experiences in a judgement free, compassionate environment.

Space is limited to 15 participants. Pre-Registration screening call with Program Coordinator, Paula Tusiani-Eng, is required to receive Zoom meeting Password and Link to join meeting.

This discussion does not take the place of medical advice or treatment. There will be resources available for those seeking more information about BPD, as well as support.
