Thank you for your interest in our Two-Year Psychodynamic Psychotherapy training Program. To apply to the program, please complete the application and send the following materials to twoyeartrainingpgm@icpnyc.org. There is an $85 application fee:
A current resume
Three letters of reference from people familiar with your clinical work (e.g., supervisors, faculty/professors, former/current employers, peers, therapist).
Your official graduate school transcript
A copy of your CV/Resume
A form filled out by your therapist, if you are in therapy currently, indicating her/his/their credentials. Your therapist must be approved by the Training Committee; to be approved, your therapist must be a graduate of a recognized training program in psychoanalysis and must have graduated 5 or more years ago

Please note: that the Two-Year Program has decided to move away from a hybrid model this upcoming year, finding in-person participation from our cohort members makes for a much more enriching and clinically profound training experience. However, some of our faculty may remain remote throughout the duration of the program. If you are not based in NYC, please keep this in mind before applying.
Once we have your completed application and at least two of your references, we can schedule your two interviews. Please complete and return your application as early as possible. The deadline for receiving your application is end of day June 5, 2026.
We want to make this process as smooth as possible for you! Because our application portal doesn’t allow you to pause and return later, we recommend taking a quick moment to gather all your documents now.
