Greetings!
We are grateful for your interest in joining us for this life-changing experience of Gospel service in the SOW Christian community.
Rising 9th graders through adults are welcome to join us. All applicants must give of themselves in every aspect of the experience, including preparation, fundraising, prayer, service, theological reflection, and community life.
Summer Outreach Week (SOW) dates are June 28- July 3, 2025. We must receive the application, Companions In Service (CIS) Form, and a minimum deposit of $200.00 or the full fee by June 1, 2025.
Finances: The $400.00 fee per participant helps to cover some, but not all, expenses. The fundraising efforts of each participant through Companions In Service are essential to the program's success. We require everyone in the program to make a good-faith effort to fundraise. Each participant sends out at least 12 requests for sponsorship to relatives, neighbors, friends, Godparents, Knights of Columbus, or other service organizations. Parishes have been very supportive of participants. You are giving a week of your time, so why not ask your community to join you with their prayerful and financial support? Return the completed CIS Form (linked below) containing the names of twelve or more people you will ask to sponsor you once you are accepted. We will provide a fundraising packet and other resources in the acceptance package.
ALL REQUIRED FIELDS ON THE APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED. If the question does not apply to you, enter n/a in the field. The application will not go through without completing the required fields. If you registered successfully, you will receive a confirmation email.
Prayerfully consider applying for this powerful experience of Gospel community and service. If accepted, you can expect to work hard and leave your comfort zone. Likewise, also expect that you will learn about the richness of our faith and be drawn more deeply into the mystery of God's love. Being a part of the Summer Outreach Week community is a gift.
Medical Insurance cards, Companions In Service (CIS) Forms, and (depending on ministry site) immunization records can be scanned or photographed (clear and readable!) and emailed to myannitelli@capuchin.org. Adults must also have Safe Environment Training and submit a copy of their Driver's License if driving during the program.
