About This Event

Peace and good! CFM is very excited to open applications for CLASP 2025, which runs from August 3 and concludes with the performance on August 8.

Our seasoned educators and dedicated artists cannot wait to share their expertise and collaborate with the next generation of actors, playwrights, directors, and artists. Immerse yourself in this unique, universally fun Catholic Theater Arts Program where peers and professionals enlighten, educate, inspire, and share enthusiasm and desire for everyone to succeed, no matter previous experience or ability. Grow in artistry, personal identity, and faith in CFM's empowering CLASP program!

Housing, meals, and worship & socialization space at Mt Alvernia Retreat Center and Rehearsal-Performance Space is at St. Martin De Porres School, 122 Cedar Valley Rd, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603.

The mission of CLASP is to make saints!

God calls everyone to become a saint. There have even been saint actors and playwrights, including St. Genesius and St. John Paul II!

  • Build confidence & creativity.
  • Share & develop your gifts & talents.
  • Community prayer, meals & sharing activities
  • Meet new friends

CLASP is for teens (rising 9th - 12th graders) & adults. No prior music/acting/dance or theater experience is necessary. In addition to performers, participants can also choose to help backstage and with set design and construction. We have a great team of Catholic educators, dancers, choreographers, choir masters, directors, acting coaches, religious, and priests.

Participants will receive a show poster, a CLASP T-shirt, and a cast recording of the performance.

ALL REQUIRED FIELDS ON THE APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED. If the question does not apply to you, enter n/a in the field. The application will not go through without completing the required fields. If you registered successfully, you will receive a confirmation email.

The application deadline is July 20, 2025.

In Christ,

Fr. Erik Lenhart, O.F.M. Cap.
