Too many children and families in Duval County face overwhelming challenges like abuse, neglect, and poverty. These hardships can prevent children from feeling safe, succeeding in school, and building healthy futures. Without support, families in crisis often fall through the cracks, and children’s long-term well-being is jeopardized. Children’s Home Society of Florida helps kids and families by meeting them where they are, whether at home or school, so they get support before bigger problems arise. In every part of Florida, we work in under-resourced communities, making sure kids have access to mental and physical healthcare, education, and other specialized services. From the time they’re babies to when they start a career, we help them find stability and a better chance for a bright future. And when they enter the school years, we’re there, too, through resources like counseling, food pantries, tutoring support and more. Our goal is not just to intervene in moments of crisis but to provide families with the tools and resources they need to create stable, loving homes. With your support, children feel safe, loved, and prepared to succeed in life. Families overcome challenges and grow stronger, preventing the need for future intervention. Kids stay in school, receive the care they need, and build brighter futures. Together, we break the cycle of trauma and create lasting change—one child, one family, and one community at a time.
