We Are America

Casulana | Women's Choir of Houston will join forces with the Houston Men's Choir on Sunday, March 22 to present We Are America, a concert featuring music of American composers from all walks of life. Performing separately and together, the concert at Trinity Downtown, 800 Houston Avenue, will include works by Florence Price, Ysaÿe Barnwell, Susan LaBarr, Paul Basler, and Carly Simon among others, as well as compositions by Houston natives Rob Landes and Vineel Mahal. Mahal's work, the leaves are all in motion now, was composed especially for Casulana and artistic director Janwin Overstreet-Goode.

Returning as collaborative artists on the concert are pianist Yanira Soria; violinist Fernando Medina; and Erin Steinke on French horn.
