General Operations

Contributions help defray operating costs of the Temple.

Adelman, Jack & Gertrude - Facility Improvement

Funds are used to make improvements to the appearance or infrastructure of the Temple's interior.

Adler, Joseph & Elsa - Memorial

Contributions are used to provide scholarships to Religious School students in need.

Adult Education

Contributions will be used to support a wide variety of adult education programs which will expand our Jewish knowledge and help to create a growing community of lifelong learners.

Art & Beautification

Funds are used for projects that enhance the attractiveness of the Temple.

B’nai Jacob (Conservative) Judaism Fund

Donations are used to promote and sustain Conservative Judaism. Uses include engagement of rabbinic or cantorial services for the High Holy Days.

Campership

Contributions are used to provide assistance for children of members to attend a Union for Reform Judaism camp.

Campership - Gold/Turansky

Donations are used to provide assistance for children of members to attend a Union for Reform Judaism camp.

Campership - Jacob & Ethel Mansbach

Donations are used to provide full or partial camperships for children attending Goldman Union Camp Institute or Union for Reform Judaism.

Campership - Ruth Brenn

Contributions are used to provide assistance for children of members to attend a Union for Reform Judaism camp.

Capital Fees

Annual Capital Assessment

Endowment

Funds go into the established Temple Endowment Fund. Earnings are used to meet ongoing needs of the Temple.

Floral

Funds provide bimah flowers for the Sanctuary and Social Hall for special Temple services and events.

Goldstrom, Ryan - Memorial

The fund is used for gifts to a child from the Temple for a life-cycle event, including Bar/Bat mitzvah, Consecration, Confirmation and Graduation.

Holocaust Memorial

Contributions paid for the sculpture in front of the Temple and have since been used to provide educational material for the community, both Jewish and non-Jewish.

Kann Mendelblat, Kathryn - Cultural Enrichment

Contributions are used to help cover expenses associated with bringing cultural activities to the Temple.

Library

Contributions are used to purchase new books and materials for operating the Temple's Rabbi Richard B. Safran Library.

Library - Himelstein Children's

This fund is used to purchase children's books with Jewish content for the Temple library.

Nancy & Mike Dicker Youth & Religious School Fund

Contributions are to be used to support Temple youth activities & enhance Jewish values & education

Olive Tree - Leaf

Passover Seder

Students enrolled in Religious School may attend at no charge by making a reservation and when accompanied by a parent. The cost for Temple members is $45 for adults; $18 for children ages 3-12 who are not enrolled in Religious School; and free for children under age 3. For non-members, the cost is $50 for adults; $20 for children 3-12; and free for children under age 3.

Seder Cleanup

Donate to help assist with cleanup of our Passover Seder.

Planer, Dr. John - Music

Donations are used for expanding the liturgical music and worship experience at the Temple.

Prayer Books

This fund is used to purchase new books for congregational worship.

Rabbi's Discretionary

This fund includes contributions made in appreciation of the rabbi, often for personal services he has provided to individuals or families. The rabbi uses the funds for tzedakah, special projects, or other congregational needs.

Rabbi Kornspan Tzedakah Fund

Contributions are used to assist members of Congregation Achduth Vesholom in times of need

Religious School

Monies are used to help support the Religious School.

Religious School Fees

Payment of fees for 2024-2025 Religious School Year : Values Tuition – Standard: $500 Hebrew Tuition – Standard: $750

ROMEO

ROMEO hosted events and contributions

Schmitz, Max & Gerda - Holocaust Education

Contributions help pay for educational Holocaust-related materials and speakers, as well as to purchase and maintain equipment needed to preserve a range of Holocaust records or to present Holocaust information to individuals or groups.

Temple Gardens

Contributions are used to maintain or enhance the garden in front of the Temple, which features plants from the Bible.

Temple Gardens- Sposeep Outdoor Chapel

Contributions are used to maintain or enhance the Sposeep Outdoor Chapel gardens.

Project Assist - Thoughtful Thursdays

Thoughtful Thursdays provide monthly or twice-monthly bags with groceries and educational items to the 52 children who are enrolled in the Brightpoint Head Start program.

Tin Caps Game

Join members of our Temple family on Saturday, June 28 for a trip to Parkview Field to watch the Fort Wayne TinCaps play the Great Lakes Loons, followed by post-game fireworks. The game starts at 6:35 p.m. Tickets are $14 per person. (Seats are in section 106 close to home plate in the shade.) We will not order extra tickets, so please make your reservations by the deadline. No refunds will be issued for cancellations. We’ll let you know when your reserved tickets will be available for pick up at Achduth Vesholom

Contributions support special youth activities, such as trips for Confirmation and high school students.

Yahrzeit Plaque - Digital

Digital yahrzeit plaques are available for $500 each, with proceeds going to the Temple’s Endowment

Youth Group

Donations support programs and activities of FOrTY, the Temple's Youth Group.
