Location: Chris Andrews Boat Launch (Portland, TX)
Age: All ages welcome (Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult)
Join us for an enjoyable and fulfilling day of kayaking around Nueces Bay as we clean up trash and marine debris along the spoil islands! This area hosts a variety of nesting coastal shorebirds, such as the American oystercatcher, reddish egret, and black skimmers. Your participation will help keep their nesting habitats safe and our bay clean.
What we will provide:
- Kayak and Lifejackets (if needed)
- Up2U Trash Bags
- Gloves
- Swag Bag with a small snack
- Trash Grabbers (First come, first serve)
- FREE lemonade from Lemon Shakers when you are done as a thank you!
* We will also have a first aid kit, water cooler, and portable restrooms available*
What to Bring:
- Shoes (closed-toe) that you are willing to get wet/dirty
- Comfortable clothing
- Sunscreen
- Reusable water bottle
