Location: Sign-in at Starbucks on Padre Island, 14002 S Padre Island Dr, Corpus Christi, TX 78418
Event Details:
Join us in celebrating National Estuaires Week by cleaning the stretch of habitat along Packery Channel, Just west of Starbucks on Padre Island. This are experiences frequent boat traffic and tidal shifts, giving the litter and debris along the shoreline a high chance of entering the water ways.
Starting at 9:00 AM, volunteers can sign-in at the outdoor seating are at Starbucks, where you can pick up your cleanup materials and direction. Volunteers will then go to designated areas, picking up trash using Up2U litter bags and bringing it back to the parking lot.
We invite you, your friends, family, and neighbors to spend a rewarding morning as environmental stewards in our own backyard.
What We Provide:
- Litter bags, gloves, and cleanup supplies
- Water Cooler
- First Aid Kit
What to Bring:
- Comfortable, appropriate footwear and clothing that can get dirty or wet
- Reusable Water Bottle
- Sunscreen
- Bug Spray
Weather Contingency:
We'll keep an eye on the weather. If necessary, updates will be provided to registered participants via email.
