Oct. 26 AM: Volunteer at Horse Lake - Native Flower Planting

We need your help to plant 60 native flowers and lay down seed at Horse Lake Trailhead!

Volunteer Work Party @ Horse Lake Trailhead

What: We will plant 60 native flowers at the trailhead and seed along the edge of the parking lot.

Where: Horse Lake Trailhead

When: Monday, Oct. 26th from 10:00 - 12:00

Please bring clothes that you don't mind getting dirty and hiking/work shoes.

We will provide gloves and tools, as well as drinks and snacks. 

Additional Info: We will meet at Horse Lake trailhead and use CDLT vehicles to drive up the Horse Lake service road for about 10 minutes. There are bathrooms at the trailhead but not at the restoration site. We will hike less than 0.5 miles off trail to the planting area (please see map below). The ground will be uneven with a moderate incline. We will secure metal cages around individual young bitterbrush plantings as browse protection from deer. The work will be mildly strenuous with a moderately strenuous hike.
