Sept 29th: Volunteer at Horse Lake - Trailhead Restoration

We need your help to remove vegetation and prepare for planting at the Horse Lake Trailhead!

Volunteer Work Party @ Horse Lake Trailhead

What: We will remove vegetation and expose soil where we are planning to plant native grasses, wildflowers and shrubs.

Where: Horse Lake Trailhead

When: Tuesday, September 29th from 9am to 12pm

Please bring clothes that you don't mind getting dirty and hiking/work shoes.

We will provide gloves and tools, as well as drinks and snacks. 

Additional Info: We will meet at the Horse Lake Trailhead and will be working around this location. The site does have a restroom within easy access of our working area. To help prepare the areas to be planted we will be hand pulling weeds, using battery powered trimmers to mow through thicker vegetation, and using shovels and rakes to help prepare the soil. Our work site will be mostly flat, however, there are areas that are mildly sloped. This will be light to medium strenuous work. All are welcome!
