We need your help to plant pollinator species at Lower Sleepy Hollow!
Volunteer Work Party @ Lower Sleepy Hollow
What: We will be planting a mix of native plants, including shrubs, forbs, and grasses tailored to support pollinators
Where: 1229 Lower Sunnyslope Rd, Wenatchee, WA 98801
When: Wednesday, October 7th from 9am to 12pm
Please bring clothes that you don't mind getting dirty and hiking/work shoes.
We will provide gloves and tools, as well as drinks and snacks.
Additional Info:
We will meet at our Lower Sleepy Hollow property, located at 1229 Lower Sunnyslope Rd, Wenatchee, WA 98801. Upon turning into the driveway from Lower Sunnyslope Road, stay to the right and continue down the gravel driveway that parallels the road. If mulch is available, we will use wheelbarrows and rakes to spread it throughout the site. We will also use shovels and hand augers to prepare planting holes and install native plants. A restroom is located near the work area for participant use. The work site is mostly flat, though some areas have gentle slopes. This project involves light to moderately strenuous physical activity. Volunteers of all experience levels are welcome!
Please contact ryan.mcgrew@cdlandtrust.org for any questions, thank you!
