Chef Darryl Bell brings a menu of authentic Kansas City-style barbecue from his Napa restaurant, Stateline Road Smokehouse. Menu details coming soon!

A Kansas City native, Chef Darryl built an accomplished career in some of the country’s most respected kitchens. His roles have included Executive Sous Chef at Thomas Keller’s Bouchon Bistro and Chef de Cuisine at PRESS in St. Helena.

He launched 816 BBQ Sauce - a Kansas City–style sauce - even before his love of the smoker led him to opening his Napa restaurant. In 2025, Darryl was named a James Beard Foundation Best Chef: California semifinalist.

Join us to learn about the nuances of barbecue and hear about his culinary journey.
