Think salads are only for summer? Think again! In our region, we’re surrounded by incredible cold-weather produce that can be transformed into hearty, healthy and unexpectedly delicious salads. Chef Matt Shapiro will cover how to build vibrant, flavorful salads and make standout dressings using ingredients you may never have considered. Everyone will share freshly prepared salads during class!

What You’ll Make & Take Home: 

  • Two inspired salad dressings 
  • Pickled red onions 

About the instructor: Chef Matt Shapiro helped lead restaurant kitchens on both coasts before joining Hog Island Oyster Co. as chef at Tony's Seafood. He played a key role in creating the company's sustainable sourcing plan before joining our team.
