About This Event

Chef Martin Yan, longtime television host of "Yan Can Cook!" and more, brings some signature recipes and his exuberance for Chinese cooking to our showcase kitchen.

Born in Guangzhou, China, Chef Yan fell in love with food alongside his restaurateur father and a mother who was a grocer. He later completed his restaurant training in Hong Kong.

His television career began in Canada, then blossomed into an award-winning television career in the United States. He has won two James Beard Awards for television plus a Daytime Emmy Award for best cooking show. In 2022, he received a James Beard Lifetime Achievement Award.

Chef Yan also has written more than a two dozen cookbooks, including several best-sellers. Today he remains an active international food ambassador, still spread his motto of “Yan Can Cook, So Can You!” He leads regular culinary tours and keeps a busy consulting calendar.
