About This Event

Coming to agriculture after other careers, Steve started with heirloom tomatoes and founded Rancho Gordo in 2001 after learning about heirloom beans. Rancho Gordo now thrives as a company that serves chefs, retailers and online customers with its line of traditional and rare bean varieties.

He authored "The Bean Book," a best-selling bean cookbook, in 2024. At our event, he'll showcase recipes from the repertoire that also includes earlier books on heirloom bean varieties and even how to grow them.

Join us to learn from the person credited with elevating beans on menus and palates across the country!

Your reservation includes dinner and two glasses of wine, if desired, to accompany your meal.

Reservations close Aug. 12, 2026.

*Please note we require at least 5 days’ notice of a cancellation to offer a full refund or credit value.

**We regret that we're unable to accommodate individual dietary restrictions within the Guest Chef’s menu, however, we are happy to offer an alternative menu for guests with dietary restrictions. This carefully crafted menu will complement the theme of the evening while accommodating guests who prefer dishes that are gluten-free, dairy-free or vegan. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to offering you an exceptional dining experience.
