Build Your Own Mosquito Bucket with Debbie Seabrook

About This Event

Build Your Own Mosquito Bucket with Debbie Seabrook

Thursday, August 6th

10am- 11:30am

Tired of battling mosquitoes every summer? Join us for an informative and hands-on workshop led by Debbie Seabrook, a Master Naturalist and officer with the Lowcountry Chapter of the South Carolina Native Plant Society.

Debbie will begin with a presentation on natural ways to reduce mosquito populations around your home and garden without relying on widespread pesticide use. You'll learn about the mosquito life cycle, why standing water is so attractive to them, and simple, effective strategies for creating a more comfortable outdoor space.

Following the presentation, participants will build their own mosquito bucket to take home. This easy inexpensive tool targets mosquito larvae before they become biting adults, helping reduce mosquito populations while minimizing impacts on beneficial insects and pollinators.

CHS Member price: $25 //Non-members: $35

Please note that workshop registrations are non-refundable. We appreciate your understanding, as your spot helps us plan and provide the best possible experience for all attendees.

Thank you for supporting our programs and helping us grow together!
