About This Event

The Charleston Parks Conservancy, in partnership with Charleston Trees and the Town of James Island are thrilled to offer free native trees to residents. You’ll have a variety of native trees to choose from, including Southern Magnolia, Tulip Poplar, Eastern Redbud, and more. Just select your tree when registering!

Staff will be on hand to answer any questions you have about the maintenance or planting of your trees.

Key Details:

  • Tree Pick-Up: Saturday, February 7 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the James Island Town Hall
    • **Each household is limited to two trees.
    • All trees come in a 3-gallon container and range from approximately 3 to 7 feet tall.
  • Tree Planting Instructions: We’ll provide guidance on planting and caring for your new trees.
  • More Information: Staff will be on hand to assist with questions or you can learn more about each tree species in the SC Forestry Commission’s Urban Tree Species Guide for South Carolina.
