We are pleased to announce that David V. Konesni and Lisa Nicholas Konesni have been selected as co-recipients of the 2026 Jean B. Purvis Community Cornerstone Award. Lisa will be presented with their awards at a dinner in their honor on Friday, May 8, 2026, at the Butler Country Club.
David, who passed away in January 2025 following five-year battle with ALS, was a longtime member of the Board of Directors of the Jean B. Purvis Community Health Center, serving as Vice President from 2009 to 2012 and President from 2013 to 2021. David also served his community through his appointment to the Butler County General Authority, where he served as chairman. He was a Scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts for nine years. David enjoyed a long career working at Nicholas Enterprises, Inc., where he was named President and CEO in 1998.
Lisa, David’s devoted wife, has also served her community through volunteerism for more than 35 years. Since 1993, Lisa has served on the Board of Directors of the Golden Tornado Scholastic Foundation, holding the position of board President, and chairing the Vision Campaign and the 1st Annual “Scholars Circle” fund drive. Lisa has also served two terms on the Butler Area School District Board of Directors as well as the board of the Butler Area Public Library. She has also participated in the planning of many fundraising events for the Community Health Center, including the Garden Party at Elm Court and Signature Sensations.
