The Children's Charity Classic

The Children’s Charity Classic is a one-of-a-kind equestrian event that brings together community spirit and charitable giving to benefit youth-focused programs in Ulster County. Organized by United Way of Ulster County and sponsored by HITS, this event supports vital work for local children and families.

Too many children in Ulster County live on the edge of crisis—struggling with poverty, unstable housing, lack of access to care, and limited opportunities. The Children’s Charity Classic raises funds and awareness to help them thrive.

Funds raised will support two United Way programs and seven selected local organizations. Local nonprofits apply to participate and are paired by lottery with a show-jumping team. Costumed riders compete on behalf of their paired nonprofit. Each nonprofit wins a minimum of $2500, with the winning team’s nonprofit receiving up to $25,000.
