Calling all golfers, outdoor lovers, boisterous laughers, do-gooders, and good time havers: Save the date for Food for Greater Elgin’s 12th annual golf fundraiser, Chip in for Hunger, happening Monday, September 14th, at Bowes Creek Country Club.
Food for Greater Elgin invites you and your company to sponsor this crucial fundraising effort.
At FFGE, we like to think of this as a win-win opportunity: You get to escape the office, enjoy a gorgeous day on the links with colleagues or clients, feast on a delicious post-golf meal, create goodwill in the community, and promote your organization.
And for us? Generous supporters like you allow us to purchase fresh produce, quality meats, dairy, and shelf-stable items for our guest-choice food pantry —those are big wins all around.
This year’s golf outing promises to be a hole-in-one: We will be returning to the beautiful Bowes Creek Country Club. With a gorgeous setting and your excellent company, it’s sure to be a perfect day.
Food For Greater Elgin, a 501(C)3 non-profit organization, is a guest-choice food pantry that provides food assistance to over 150,000 individuals annually, one third of whom are children.
While at Bowes Creek, they ask that the appropriate golf attire is worn: Collared shirts, mock turtlenecks and/or general ladies and men golf apparel purchased in a golf shop are acceptable forms of dress for Bowes Creek Country Club. If shorts are used, they must be 16 inches in length and properly hemmed. Ripped, torn, frayed clothing or T-shirts are unacceptable.
