Growers In The Garden

Join us on Saturday morning, October 24th, from 10 AM to 11:30 AM to experience a CitySprouts lesson in our new Tobin Montessori School Garden!

Exclusively for our Growers Circle members, this complimentary event is a different kind of CitySprouts gathering - a way for us to express gratitude for your support, with the chance to meet one of our amazing Garden Educators for a hands-on science lesson. Explore the first full growing season in the new garden and hear from Susan and staff about what we’re learning and where CitySprouts is headed next.

Located in West Cambridge, the Tobin is a public Montessori school that was completely rebuilt and reopened in Fall 2025. The new CitySprouts garden classroom was added as an integral, signature piece to the new school design. The day's agenda is below:

10:00-10:30: Arrival and Welcome; enjoy a cup of coffee and pastries on a brief tour of the new garden.

10:30-11:00: Experience a hands-on lesson with a Garden Educator

11:00-11:30: Connect and Closing

There is no cost to attend, but please be sure to RSVP so that we are able to contact you with event updates and any weather-related changes. In the case of steady rain, we will need to cancel, as the garden is not covered. We can't wait to see you there!

Getting there: The garden is located at the rear of the school, near the playground. It can be accessed by walking the pedestrian path from either Vassal Ln or Concord Ave. The school is accessible via the MBTA Red Line and the 75 bus. Drivers are welcome to park on the street nearby (please check posted signage).
