CMS 2025 10th Anniversary Festival

About This Event

Chamber Music by the Sea celebrates 10 years of extraordinary music with a week-long celebration August 10-16 and you are cordially invited to join the party! The festival will bring six internationally acclaimed musicians to Worcester County for performances that will delight
audiences of all ages, in venues ranging from an intimate art gallery to a sprawling
arboretum lawn.

What better place to begin the party than with a musical stroll in America’s
Coolest Small Town? Meet the musicians in three unique venues on Berlin’s Main
Street (the Mermaid Museum, Visitors’ Center, and Reverie Wine Bar) where they
will whet your appetites with brief performances and share details of what is to
come.

The party continues through the week with events in Berlin’s historic Atlantic
Hotel, Berlin Public Library, Zenna Wellness, Temple Bat Yam, and the lawn of the
Calvin B. Taylor House Museum, as well as Bishop’s Stock Gallery and All Hallows
Episcopal Church in Snow Hill. Violinist Elena Urioste, festival founder and artistic
director, looks forward to greeting returning audience members and welcoming
new ones. “There is truly something for everyone at our events, and there is no
better way to introduce music-lovers of all ages to great music – both familiar and
new – than through live performance, behind-the-scenes glimpses, and chatting
with the musicians. We also encourage local musicians of all ages to join us for
our play-along, and to help us close out the festival by performing with us on
Saturday, August 16.”

In addition to Urioste, this year’s roster of superstars includes several returning
festival favorites who have helped to make Chamber Music by the Sea such a
success: pianist and composer Tom Poster, violinist Grace Park, violist Kyle
Armbrust and cellist Brook Speltz. New to the festival this year is renowned
double bassist Aaron Olguin, who is sure to become another festival favorite.
Under the sponsorship of the Worcester County Education Foundation,
generously funded by the Paul M. Angell Family Foundation, and festival ticket sales, Chamber Music by the Sea continues its mission of introducing Worcester County public school students to the arts with year-round initiatives that include live, interactive in-
school programs.
