In the small town of Cobbtown, GA, a heartbreaking situation has been unfolding. Stray dogs, left to roam vast farmlands and neglected by the local county and shelters, are fighting for their lives. These dogs have become victims of extreme measures taken by residents, and some have been tragically shot on sight.

Donna, a compassionate resident of Cobbtown, who has been tirelessly working to protect and save these innocent animals. Despite reaching out to multiple humane societies and local authorities, no viable solution has been offered. But we are not giving up.

Recently, Donna, along with the support of our foundation, managed to rescue two sweet dogs, Foxy and Lil Bit, and four puppies—Jesse, Ronnie, Riley, and Billye. These puppies, miraculously found alive amidst the summer heat, are between 5-10 lbs, and it’s nothing short of a miracle that they survived in such harsh conditions. But this is just the beginning.

The Urgent Situation

There are still 6-8 adult dogs roaming the farmlands, and their time is running out. These dogs are not only at risk of further neglect but also of breeding again, leading to more puppies born into this dire situation. We need to act fast to rescue, care for, and find safe placements for these dogs.

Donna has taken on the brave task of trapping these dogs and transporting them to Dr. Keith Miller, a local vet who has graciously agreed to spay and neuter them. Dr. Miller will also board them for a few days after surgery to help them heal. But once they are trapped, the clock starts ticking. We need to find fosters who can step in and provide temporary homes for these dogs until they can be placed in permanent homes.

How You Can Help

We urgently need your support to cover the costs of spaying/neutering, vet care, food, supplies, and transportation. Without a physical shelter, our only option is to rely on the kindness of fosters and donors like you. Every dollar you donate will go directly to saving these dogs and giving them a chance at a better life.

Foster Families Needed

If you can open your home to one of these dogs, we will provide everything you need—from food and crates to supplies and support. These dogs may be skittish and scared, but they are submissive, loving with other dogs, and just need a safe place to call home while they recover and learn to trust again. APPLY TO FOSTER
