"Coffee, I think here, builds community. It's a time of reflection for our folks- so you can see the best conversations whenever they're having their first cup of coffee for the day." - Kris, AHOPE Program Manager
Coffee at AHOPE
Each month, our AHOPE Day Center uses over 150 lbs of coffee, 1,200 lbs of sugar, and 50 gallons each of cream & milk. These are all items that are at the expense of Homeward Bound WNC. This is why we've collaborated with Pisgah Coffee Roasters to create the Cups of Hope Registry Program- a way for our community to help us in providing this small daily ritual for our folks, creating space for conversation and connection, and encouragement for the journey forward.
How You Can Help
When you purchase a bag of coffee or liquid cold brew through this program, it will be delivered straight to AHOPE, brewed and served by our staff & volunteers, and drank by those who need it most. The cost that you pay goes to purchase these items from PCR at wholesale cost, meaning that you are also supporting a locally-owned business, with roots in our community dating back to 2010.
We are grateful for this partnership that allows us to include our coffee-loving community in our mission to prevent and end homelessness, one cup of coffee at a time. We are also grateful to our supporters, and you, for helping us serve Cups of Hope each and every day!

About Pisgah Coffee Roasters
The journey of Pisgah Coffee Roasters began more than a century ago, spanning nearly 4,000 miles. In the late 1800s, Jotham Lipsi's ancestors embarked from Italy to Brazil, where they found their calling on a coffee farm.
Fast forward to a new era, Jotham's father and co-owner, Jonathan, an agronomist, acquired a coffee estate in Minas Gerais, a southern state celebrated for its coffee production. Spanning 500 acres and adorned with over 300,000 coffee trees, the farm became a childhood haven for Jotham and his siblings, steeping him in the essence of coffee cultivation.
In 2004, Brevard College beckoned Jotham to the verdant landscapes of western North Carolina. Enthralled like many by the region's allure, he forged deep roots.
Partnering with his father, he began sourcing single-origin coffee from Brazil's Cerrado region, supplying these premium beans to wholesale partners.
Building upon the knowledge garnered from the commercial trade, Jotham and Jonathan birthed Pisgah Coffee Roasters in 2010.
Here, amidst the majestic mountains of western North Carolina, their passion for coffee and reverence for the land converged.
Today, Pisgah Coffee Roasters remains committed to sourcing beans from the Cerrado region of Brazil, where familial bonds endure with the land and its stewards.
We’re a family-owned and operated business, grateful for the opportunity to live, work, and explore the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
