Presented by The Fostering Collective

May 2026 Family Collective

About This Event

Self-Care is what we do regularly to reduce stress and maintain our short- and long-term health and well-being. Self-care isn’t selfish or self-indulgent; it is good stewardship of the resource of our body necessary for our effectiveness in meeting the physical, emotional, social, educational, and spiritual needs of the children placed in our care.

Dr. Camilla Jones, LPC, will lead our adult session discussing stress management.  Our kids will spend time focusing on how Jesus took care of himself and the importance of taking care of themselves too.

Our Family Collective is our monthly support group for foster, adoptive and kinship families.  Each month, we gather for pizza and salad, then break off into sessions by age/grade.  Each session is led by local therapists who are trauma informed and want to support our families.  If you are coming but not planning to have dinner, please email laura@thefosteringcollective.org.

Location- South Spring Baptist Church 17002 Hwy 69 in Tyler.
Dinner will be served from 5:30-6:00pm.  Sessions will run from 6:00 - 7pm.

Contact Tiffany Davault at tiffany@thefosteringcollective.org or 903-253-9144 for more information.
