AAPI New Jersey Presents: Comedy Night! 🎤😄

Come out, unwind, and share some laughs with your community! We’ve put together a fantastic night of stand-up comedy featuring some seriously talented folks:

Alyce Chan — Creator of the beloved Mom Com NYC

Alyce Chan is an internationally acclaimed comedian, speaker, and writer known for her unique comedic style showcased at New York Comedy Festival and a finalist at the Boston Comedy Festival. Her viral parenting platform, MOMCOMNYC, with almost 400k followers, and featured sketches on platforms like Scary Mommy and Today Parents highlight her ability to find humor in everyday chaos. Her work has been featured on major media outlets like ABC, Hulu, and the Drew Barrymore Show. Check out her IG here.

Sandeep Sen 

Sandeep Sen is an Indian American standup comedian in New York. He is a blend of east-west cultures, which means he eats meat, but feels guilty about it, and only prays to Hindu Gods when he wants something. He performs throughout the country, and has appeared in the New York Times and on Fox's Laughs. He has competed and won comedy roast competitions at New York Comedy Club and The Stand and is a two time Comedy Fight Club tournament champion. See Sandeep perform live — watch here.

Craig Baldo

Craig Balderston (aka Craig Baldo) is a writer and performer living in Montclair. His stand-up comedy has been featured on numerous TV shows including Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Premium Blend and Last Comic Standing. He served as the house warm-up act for seven Emmy-winning seasons of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. His writing has been featured in the New Yorker and New York Times Modern Love section. Craig teaches stand-up comedy at Montclair Film and is an honorary member of the Sri Lankan Aunties Union of North Jersey (unofficial). See Craig perform live — watch here.

Juno Men 

Juno Men is a newly New York-based comedian. She is openly transgender, obviously Asian, and usually hungry. Her credits include the All Jane Comedy Festival, the Moth Radio Hour, the Omaha Comedy Festival, and opening for Janeane Garofalo, Nicole Byer, and Rachel Scanlon, among others. She can be found online at @seattlejuno on instagram.

Sonya Vai 

Sonya Vai is an International standup comedian who's had a successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and toured throughout Europe. She won a year-long comedy mentorship for women of color from Sofia Chang's Unlock Her Potential, and she's been featured in The Hollywood Reporter and The New York Times. Her very first television pilot placed into the top 20% at the Austin Film Festival, and her PBS appearance on Stories from the Stage aired in November 2025. She performs regularly in NYC at New York Comedy Club, Greenwich Village Comedy Club, The Stand, Gotham, Broadway Comedy Club, and other venues. He social media handle is @sonyavaicomedy
