Hands-On Class: Summer Wine Pairing with Kate Leahy

Join acclaimed chef and "Wine Style" author Kate Leahy for an evening of crisp whites and interesting reds, along with delicious savory bites for perfect pairing.  In this interactive and hands-on class, learn about matching small bites with your wines and cook up some crowd-pleasing appetizers.

What You’ll Make and Take Home:    

• Make a batch of Marinated Mushrooms, Baked Feta and Lamb Meatballs to share in class with regional and world wines. 
• Take home a portion of the chef's signature Cheddar Shortbread to pair perfectly with a glass of sparkling wine.  

About the instructor: Kate Leahy worked across the country as a line cook before earning a degree in journalism to write about food. She has since written more than a dozen books with culinary celebrities like Michael Mina and Ayesha Curry. She also co-hosts the popular podcast, "Everything Cookbooks." Her first solo book, "Wine Style," lets you discover the wines you love with 50 simple recipes.
