About This Event
Join Chef Dave Leyva for a hands-on exploration of homemade pies, from flaky crust to irresistible fillings. In this seasonal workshop, you’ll learn tips and techniques for mixing and rolling tender pie dough, building well-balanced fillings, and finishing your pie with a perfectly paired streusel topping that takes it from great to wow. With plenty of hands-on practice with the chef, this class serves bakers of all skill levels who want to gain confidence and leave inspired.
What's Included:
- Expert demonstration and hands-on practice
- One fully baked pie that you create to take home
- Ready-to-roll pie dough that you make to take home
- A slice of fresh pie to enjoy at the end of class
About the instructor: Chef Dave worked as chef and pastry chef in several notable restaurants before starting his journey as an instructor in the Wine Country. He has taught and mentored rising chefs at The Culinary Institute of America, Copia, and the original Williams-Sonoma store. He now takes pride in overseeing our Community Teaching Kitchen.
