Presented by Eagle Valley Land Trust

Fencing Project

Registration has ended

About This Event

Roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty as we build fencing along the edge of the EVLT Conservation Center bordering the beautiful Eagle River Preserve. The cedar split rail construction will serve as a demonstration of wildlife-friendly boundary fencing, a necessity for the elk that grace the preserve. We'll also install a gate for an eventual trail connection with the preserve.

No experience or special skills are required to help out. Come as you are for a satisfying morning of work followed by lunch.

When: Saturday, May 23 from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Where: EVLT Conservation Center in Edwards.

What to expect: We'll be putting posts into pre-dug holes, tamping them down, filling the holes with gravel, and hanging rails and gates. Some light to moderate lifting will be involved.
