About the Speaker: Emily Shamsid-Deen

Emily Shamsid-Deen is the founder of ESD Consulting, where she partners with mission-driven organizations to build sustainable cultures of belonging that support staff engagement, retention, and growth. Her work focuses on helping organizations assess systems, strengthen leadership, and create inclusive practices that prioritize psychological safety.

With over 20 years of experience in and with the nonprofit sector, Emily brings a strong background in training and facilitation, strategic planning, and equity-based capacity building. She approaches her work through a social justice lens, supporting organizations to align their values with everyday practices and build more inclusive and effective teams.
