On Demand: Empowering Every Voter: A Nonprofit Guide to Voter Outreach

About This Event

Based on CRC's long-standing and successful, nonprofit voter engagement program, the Participation Project, this on-demand workshop and extensive toolkit is designed to equip your organization’s staff and volunteers with the tools to engage, educate, and empower voters.

Many community members face barriers to participating in our democracy or feel disconnected from the voting process. As trusted messengers, nonprofits are uniquely positioned to bridge that gap by providing accurate information, creating welcoming spaces, and encouraging participation in ways that reflect their mission and values.

What You’ll Learn

In this practical, action-oriented four-part workshop, you’ll gain:

  • A clear understanding of who can vote and best practices for how to register voters.

  • Strategies for meaningful, nonpartisan voter conversations including building confidence in talking about voting in ways that are culturally responsive, informative, and grounded in your mission.

  • Tools for nonpartisan ballot education and an overview of lobbying rules for nonprofits.

  • Access to CRC’s ready-to-use customizable toolkit of social media posts, newsletter content, and outreach materials you can implement right away.

Trainers: Monica DeWitt, Education Specialist, Community Resource Center and Alexandra Cruz, Program Coordinator, Community Resource Center & Hannah Branit, Civic Engagement Intern
