The Austin Civic Orchestra welcomes Music Director finalist Dr. Gabriela Mora-Fallas for the 4th concert in our 2026–27 season theme, Journeys of Wonder and Beauty - a journey through imagination, discovery, and celebration, featuring Beethoven’s Egmont Overture, Augusta Holmès’ La Nuit et l’Amour, Borodin’s Polovtsian Dances, Fantastic Beasts by James Newton Howard, Ravel’s Mother Goose Suite, and Gershwin’s Cuban Overture. Beyond the Familiar brings together composers from different backgrounds, generations, countries, genres, and musical traditions to challenge the way we experience the world around us.
The concert will open with the Austin Sound Waves Chamber Ensemble.
Youth are always free with discounts available for adults. Tickets available here or at the door. Please consider making a donation when obtaining a ticket. We work to keep the ticket prices low and depend on individual donations to help us continue to bring concerts like this to the Austin community.
