Life of Wonders and Fates brings the indoor performances of the season theme Journeys of Wonder and Beauty to a powerful close under the direction of Music Director finalist Jarred Kennedy. The program opens with Katahj Copley’s Equinox, a vivid and rhythmically charged work that captures the energy of change and renewal. Trumpeter Kyle Korano then takes center stage in Alexander Arutiunian’s Trumpet Concerto, a brilliant showcase of bold fanfares, lyrical warmth, and virtuosic flair. The evening culminates in Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5, a sweeping and emotional journey shaped by its iconic “fate” motif. Together, these works create an unforgettable exploration of wonder, destiny, and expressive orchestral power.
