North Valley Symphony Orchestra proudly presents:
Inspiration becomes Influence!
Explore some of our favorite pieces that reflect new inspiration in music. Hummel took a note from his mentor Hayden in composing the second truly chromatic trumpet concerto (Hayden’s was first – the valved trumpet had just recently been invented). Brahms celebrated his honorary Doctorate in Music with his Academic Festival Overture, and Britten describes the inner workings of the orchestra in his Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra. A great concert to kick off the season and recognize World Teachers Day on October 5th!
