CONNECTED: Care in Action

Go beyond the basics of care and discover how trust plays a vital role in the health and well-being of the apes.

In this CONNECTED experience, you'll learn how our caregivers and veterinary team work together to support each individual through both routine and specialized care. From daily wellness checks to voluntary husbandry training, you'll gain insight into how apes are empowered to participate in their own care—on their terms.

Through real-life examples and stories, this tour highlights the patience, consistency, and relationships that make this level of care possible.

While the Center is not open to the public as an attraction, CONNECTED offers a rare educational opportunity to see our mission in action and deepen your understanding of great ape care and conservation.

Minimum Age: 15 years
Tour Format: Walking tour (approx. ½ mile on shell-rock paths). Participants must be able to walk for the full duration.
Tours are held rain or shine.
