About This Event

A Day in Their Lives

What does a typical day look like when each individual has a say in how they spend it?

In this CONNECTED experience, you'll explore how choice and control shape daily life at the sanctuary. From where to spend time to how to engage with their environment, each ape makes decisions throughout the day that reflect their individual preferences and personalities.

You'll gain a deeper understanding of how caregivers create meaningful opportunities for choice and why having that control is such an important part of overall wellbeing.

While the Center is not open to the public as an attraction, CONNECTED offers a rare educational opportunity to see our mission in action and deepen your understanding of great ape care and conservation.

Minimum Age: 15 years
Tour Format: Walking tour (approx. ½ mile on shell-rock paths). Participants must be able to walk for the full duration.
