About Cornerstone Schools of Alabama

Cornerstone Schools of Alabama was founded in 1993 by the late C. Molton Williams, who worked with local business and community leaders to create a school that could break the generational cycles harming Birmingham’s children. Armed with the knowledge that poverty is perpetuated by lack of access to quality education, these leaders established Cornerstone as an elementary school in Birmingham’s Woodlawn neighborhood.  Today, the school enrolls over 700 of Birmingham’s children in grades K4 - 12, offering a supportive Christian environment focused on faith, academics, and character development.
