About This Event

A permanent installation of artworks by local artists, curated by Liz Foley and purchased through LVA’s Curate Purchase Inspire program.
Titled From Which Your Life Flows, this collection draws on the writings of Rainer Maria Rilke to explore identity, growth, and the role of place in shaping our lives. About LVA's Curate, Purchase, Inspire (CPI) Program

Curate, Purchase, Inspire (CPI) is a 12-month curatorial fellowship and art purchasing initiative led and stewarded by Louisville Visual Art (LVA). Launched in spring 2022 and envisioned by artist Clare Hirn, CPI supports local artists, uplifts emerging and community-rooted curators, and places original artwork within nonprofit and public environments where people gather, learn, and receive care.

Each year, LVA convenes a diverse committee of community arts leaders to select two CPI Fellows. Fellows develop community-engaged curatorial projects in partnership with a nonprofit or public organization, working closely with LVA staff to research Louisville-area artists, shape a curatorial framework responsive to community context, and select or commission artwork for long-term public display. All artworks selected through CPI are purchased by Louisville Visual Art and held in the public trust.

About Ozanam Inn Men’s Emergency Shelter

Ozanam Inn Men’s Emergency Shelter currently provides 50 emergency shelter beds for single men—often those experiencing chronic homelessness—and 20 private rooms for Veterans in the Veterans Transitional Housing Program. Opened in April 1984 in the former St. Paul School building, Ozanam Inn has served as a vital resource in Louisville for over 40 years. Each year, the 24/7 facility provides more than 14,000 bed-nights annually along with case work, counseling, meals, and community support. Last year, Ozanam Inn completed major renovations, and the art will complement these improvements by making the environment more welcoming and reflective of care, dignity, and hope.
