About This Event
La Cocina es una picara comedia moderna, en spanglish, que cuenta la historia de Carlos, un joven chef que piensa que ha encontrado la oportunidad de su vida al enterarse que dos importantes criticos de comida, llegaran hasta su apartamento para escribir un articulo en una revista digital anglosajona sobre el y sus especialidades culinarias. Ernesto su amigo y vecino, quien ha estado acongojado por una fallida relacion amorosa, lo acompaña en esa noche tan importante, para recibir a los dos excentricos criticos. El resultado de este encuentro se convierte en un estudio sobre la amistad, la lealtad y los sacrificios que a veces hacemos para salvar lo que consideramos amor. Las situaciones que se sucitan esa noche replantearan la escala de valores de cada uno de ellos.

La Cocina is a mischievous modern comedy, in Spanglish, that tells the story of Carlos, a young chef who believes he has found the opportunity of a lifetime when he learns that two important food critics will come to his apartment to write an article for an English-language digital magazine about him and his culinary specialties. Ernesto, his friend and neighbor—who has been distressed by a failed romantic relationship—joins him on that important night to welcome the two eccentric critics. The result of this encounter becomes a study of friendship, loyalty, and the sacrifices we sometimes make to save what we consider love. The situations that arise that night will reshape each of their systems of values.
